There is really no substitute for seeing a photograph as a print. It is the culmination of the photographic process which is why I print everything myself (except canvas products) so that I have complete control of this process from start to finish.

I print on a range of professional photographic and archival grade papers using Canon Lucia pigment inks that are colourfast for 100-years. Prints are available on three sizes of paper: A4 (29.7cm x 21cm), A3 (42cm x 29.7cm) and A3+ (48.3cm x 32.9cm). For prints in the photographic ratios 4:3, 10:8, 7:6 and Square, the paper will be cropped on the longer side to fit the ratio. All prints will have a white border included to make handling and mounting easier.

Standard Photographic prints
Standard Photographic Prints are printed on Fotospeed PF Lustre 275gsm paper. This is a stiff, middle-weight paper with a lustre finish that produces beautiful images that will last for decades.

Archival Photographic Prints
Archival prints are printed on archival grade paper. I use Innova Art FibaPrint® White Semi-Matte 300gsm acid free paper that has been modelled on the traditional Baryta papers used in darkrooms. Its semi-matt surface reduces reflections.

Archival 'Fine Art' Prints
Archival Fine Art prints, often referred to as 'Giclee' prints, are printed on 100% cotton archival grade paper. The prints have a very luxurious feel due to the matt cotton surface. Two papers are used from Fotospeed's Signature Range of Fine Art papers :
Fotospeed Natural Soft Textured Bright White 315gsm Fine Art paper which has a very gentle texture. The paper is approved by the Fine Art Trade Guild and when used in conjunction with pigment inks will ensure a print life of more than 85 years.
Fotospeed Smooth Cotton 300gsm Fine Art paper which has an ultra-smooth surface ideal for high saturation images. When used in conjunction with pigment inks, the paper will ensure a print life of more than 85 years.
'Fine Art' prints are printed on A3+ (48.3cm x 32.9cm) size paper to allow for a white border. They are signed, titled and dated on the reverse in pencil.

Canvas on a Stretcher Frame
I offer canvas prints in larger sizes only and they are commercially printed at a professional photo lab. The image is printed on Berger canvas (360g/m²) using Epson UltraChrome K3 pigment inks to ensure the colours will last for 100-years, before being coated in a water resistant resin. The image is printed to the edge of the canvas and is mirrored around a 20mm wooden stretcher frame, which is protected from tearing and warping with metal braces that reinforce the corners giving an ultra stable platform. Simply hang the finished canvas to the wall using the rear of the stretcher frame as a support.

Web-Ready Royalty-Free Digital File
Two sizes of digital downloads are offered for use on web based media. The files are royalty-free with no expiry and are for unrestricted use by the buyer for commercial, editorial or advertising usage on web based media only. Choose between 1500px or 1000px (on the long edge) depending on your requirements. The file will be emailed to your nominated email address as a zipped high-quality JPG file.

Colour Management
The images on my website are shown at a much lower resolution than the actual printed image which will be of a much higher quality. My monitor is profiled to ensure accurate colours, brightness, contrast, and black point. Images are printed in the AdobeRGB colour space with the digital files being matched to the papers offered using custom made ICC colour profiles.

Displaying Your Print
Prints should ideally be framed behind glass and where possible displayed out of direct sunlight. Standard photographic prints will last for 40-50 years when displayed correctly, 'fine-art' prints will last 80-90 years.
