I offer Landscape Photography tuition in the form of full-day or half-day workshops, primarily for those with a digital camera that give the user control over the main camera functions. In other words DSLR cameras, Compact System Cameras (Mirrorless), and advanced Compact Cameras.

The tuition is on a 'one-to-one' basis or for very small groups of friends (max. of 3 persons) so that you are not learning with complete strangers.
The reason for this is that the workshop is delivered around you. In other words, you tell me what you would like to achieve and I will deliver a tailor made workshop.

My approach to landscape photography is simple. I have a workflow which gets me a clean file 'in camera' and avoid being trigger happy, preferring a more measured approach rather than filling a memory card in a few hours. Post-processing involves using only a few tools in the software. The results are the images on my website, on Getty Images site, in photography magazines and in exhibitions throughout Scotland.

Depending on your level of experience, workshops can be relaxed and at your pace, or can be more challenging. Based on a series of practical lessons out in the field, you will use your own camera equipment under my guidance and encouragement to learn new skills. By the end of the workshop you will have the confidence to be working things through on your own. I cannot guarantee the weather, but if it is on our side, and an opportunity presents itself which proves irresistible, then you may get some great images too.
